We are no longer offering conch pearls for sale on the web because of the challenges we face sending them. The conch and all of it's parts, is covered by the international agreement on endangered species (CITIES). In order for the shell, the meat, the pearl, or any other part to be exported from the Bahamas the exporter has to have a license from the Bahamian Government. For the buyer to import anything to do with the conch into the USA he or she has to have a license from the US Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. We understand that it costs $100.00 and takes about four months. All of the above applies to conch pearls. If you do not have the necessary paperwork US customs will confiscate any they come across. If you live else where than the USA we suggest you contact customs in your country.
These regulations have created so many difficulties for us that we have decided not to publish photos of pearls on the web site. If you are interested in buying a conch pearl we suggest that you contact us to see what we have and what you need to do next to import it into your country.
