I have several different goals for the jewellery that I make for sale at Conch Pearl. At the top end I create individual pieces that are not found any where else on Abaco. To accomplish this I use unusual and unusually cut gemstones. I also try to let the stone determine the nature of the final piece. On another level, I am slowly adding to a line of sea life jewellery that so aptly fits the location. Where possible, I make a mold from a creature who has died naturally so that the final solid silver or gold item not only looks right but feels right as it has the texture of the original animal.None of my work is mass produced. Even the sea life, which I cast, I finish by hand, so that each piece is different. I would like all of my customers to be able to afford a real hand made piece so, as time permits, I am making silver items that are created by traditional hand construction. This even includes hand made heads for stones. Feel free to e-mail me or call if you want to discuss any special piece you may have in mind.
