My sculpture celebrates the expressive power of the human figure. I choose themes that affirm life-energy, ranging from family to music to dance. Although I was classically trained and enjoy representational work, I also enjoy playing with shapes where the emotion calls for a departure from strict anatomy. I trained under a Master Sculptor in Paris from 1992-95, then continued to learn sculpture techniques at the Silvermine Art Guild in New Canaan, Ct. Moving to Colorado in 1999 gave me access to the excellent foundries and craftsmen in Loveland and Denver. I founded the co-op Arts Alive Gallery in Breckenridge, as well as the annual Sculpture on the Blue show in Breckenridge. In 2005, I moved to Guana Cay in Abaco, Bahamas with my wife and muse, Anyes, and our daughter Mirabelle. My two music sculptures, Lydia and Athena, were dedicated at the entrance to the Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge in July 2006. I am honored to be represented by The Conch Pearl Gallery in Marsh Harbour. | ||||||||||
